Our nonprofit Zero Waste Associate plays a key role in helping families divert building materials from landfills. We make it easy for people to improve their homes (and save money) by accepting donated building materials and reselling them at affordable prices. The Zero Waste Associate is passionate about helping people conserve resources that would otherwise be discarded. This position involves working as part of the Zero Waste Team in picking up and stocking household and construction material donations. The Zero Waste Associate strives to provide exceptional customer service and maximize pickup efficiency.\n\nThis is a part-time, seasonal role based in Boulder, Colorado with potential for continued employment. The work season will run Aug. 27- Oct. 31 with some flexibility on start/end dates. Be part of a high-impact, rapidly growing nonprofit that's making a difference in Colorado. The compensation will be $18.00-$20.00 an hour and Resource Central offers excellent growth opportunities for career-minded candidates.\n\nEssential Job Duties and Responsibilities:\nPerforms materials pickups consisting of driving box trucks to safely load/unload customer materials donations.\nUnloads and stocks incoming materials donations.\nMaintains clean and tidy vehicles including daily equipment/vehicle organization and cleaning.\nEnsures a high level of operational efficiency in our external waste diversion efforts.\nProvides an exceptionally high level of customer service to our customers.\nEnsures that all vehicle safety procedures are adhered to.\nSupports our retail sales staff as needed.\nOther duties as assigned.\nCultivates a strong sense of diversity, equity, and inclusion.\n\nQualifications and Requirements:\nExceptional customer service skills.\nAbility to routinely lift 75lbs.\nHigh level of integrity and accountability.\nValid driver's license (with clean motor vehicle record).\nComfortable learning to drive a box truck.\n\nCandidates will be considered on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
