In this role, you'll be the logistical backbone of our Shipping Department—making sure that everything from domestic truckloads to international air freight moves smoothly, accurately, and on time. If you love organization, problem-solving, and keeping things moving behind the scenes, this is your chance to make a real impact.What You'll Do Day-to-DayDocumentation & ComplianceExtract data from provided information and prepare all necessary shipping paperwork, including:Bills of LadingAir BillsCanadian Customs invoices and export documents for Canadian shipmentsInternational Bills of Lading for Service Orders, FSOs, and PTs for all foreign shipmentsPrepare and type Daily Shipping Records and distribute them to the right peopleCoordination & CommunicationContact trucking and airline firms to get shipment informationTrace shipments and provide status updates to customers and others as directed by supervisionWork with other departments to process shipping paperwork smoothlyOrganization & RecordkeepingMaintain various files and logs in the Shipping DepartmentTrack records accuratelyMatch Freight Bills with Bills of LadingPerform typing, filing, and other general clerical work as needed by the departmentCost Tracking & SuppliesTrack shop order costs by inputting information into a personal computerOrder and maintain supplies for the department as requiredA Note on This RoleThe above reflects the general details needed to describe the principal functions of this job.
