Our services include emergency shelter, transitional housing, rental subsidies, mental health services, substance recovery, and wrap-around services. All our services are trauma-sensitive and client-centered and are provided at no cost to our clients. All programs are low barrier.\n\nRP is led by survivors with a focus on reflection, innovation, and connection. We believe in fostering relationships, both in our direct service work and throughout our internal work culture. We aim to cultivate a workplace that appreciates and emphasizes the voices of those most impacted by violence. We recognize these voices are vital to interrupting the cycle of violence and transforming lives towards safety, unity, and trust.\n\nWho You Are\n\nYou have a strong commitment to preventing interpersonal violence as well as an understanding of, and sensitivity to, serving diverse populations. You have excellent interpersonal skills and strong techniques for relationship building. You believe people should determine their own path towards healing, and have an orientation towards survivor-centered services.\n\nYou are a go-getter who enjoys fast paced environments. You enjoy working both collaboratively and independently. You are adept at time management and highly organized with a proven ability to ensure you can meet deadlines, plan, organize and execute. You are comfortable working as part of a team and are an accountable collaborator. You excel at organizing, prioritizing, and following through on multiple time-sensitive projects. You are flexible, creative, and take initiative in handling emergencies.\n\nWhat qualifications are required for this position?\n\nRequired:\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.\nAbility to pass all required background screening prior to hire, including criminal background check and DOJ/FBI fingerprinting, per RP and California DHCS requirements.\nStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage and track a caseload of clients with competing deadlines and needs.\nClear, professional written and verbal communication skills, including comfort documenting in an electronic medical record.\nA calm, non-judgmental, and compassionate approach to working with clients in recovery and their families.\nAbility to work collaboratively across residential, clinical, and medical teams.\nValid California driver's license and reliable transportation, if assisting with client transportation coordination.\nIn possession of a valid CA driver's license, proof of insurance, and be approved by RP insurance as a driver in order to drive agency vehicles. Items considered include but are not limited to: the shift the staff member holds and the frequency/necessity of driving during that shift, the amount of time before the staff member may be approved to drive by the insurance carrier, the availability of other staff on site to drive agency vehicles as program needs require, etc.\nAble to complete all required background checks. Additional requirements may be deemed necessary, including fingerprinting (Live Scan), completion of all Community Care Licensing (CCL) documents, and ability to meet CCL licensing requirements.\n\nPreferred:\n\nBachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human services, or a related field.\nPrior experience in case management, care coordination, or a related support role, ideally in a behavioral health or SUD treatment setting.\nFamiliarity with community resources in the Oakland / Bay Area region (housing, employment, benefits, legal aid, healthcare).\nRegistered or certified AOD (alcohol and drug) credential, or working toward one — not required for this role, but a plus.\nBilingual ability, and experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse clients and families.\n\nWhat You Will Do\n\nRiley Recovery Centers (RRC) is a program within Restorative Pathways. RRC provides safe, compassionate, evidence-based substance use disorder (SUD) treatment for youth and adults. RRC operates a single integrated continuum of care on one property: clients live on-site in a supervised, home-like sober living residence while attending structured clinical programming — Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP, ASAM Level 2.5) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP, ASAM Level 2.1) — delivered through individual, group, and family sessions. RRC believes recovery is possible for every person, and our team works together across housing, clinical, and medical services so that treatment feels like one connected experience rather than separate programs under one roof.\n\nRP is hiring a full-time Case Manager within RRC to serve as the connective thread between our sober living residence and our PHP/IOP clinical programs. This is a non-clinical, client-facing coordination role: you will not provide therapy or counseling, but you will be the person who makes sure every client's practical, logistical, and support needs are identified, tracked, and followed through on — from a scheduled appointment or a referral to community services, to helping a client in their final weeks of sober living line up a job and permanent housing. You'll work closely with the Program Manager, AOD Counselors, the House Manager, and RRC's clinical and medical team, and you'll be a steady, organized presence for clients navigating a lot of moving pieces at once.\n\nResponsibilities include\n\nSober Living / Residential Support\nServe as each resident's primary point of contact for case management needs throughout their stay in RRC's sober living residence.\nFor residents in their free-range period after day 30, check in regularly to confirm they are meeting with you as their case manager, actively working toward employment and permanent housing, and engaging in recovery work outside of scheduled groups.\nCoordinate with the House Manager and residential staff on day-to-day needs that affect a client's stability — transportation, documentation, appointments, and other logistics.\nProvide backup support for Restorative Pathways housing intake (rules and expectations, welcome packet, facility tour, belongings inventory) when the primary Housing Intake Coordinator is unavailable.\nAssist with coordinating client transportation to appointments (e.g., medical visits, the welfare office, medication pickups) alongside the residential and clinical teams as needed.\nPHP / IOP Outpatient Case Coordination\nOwn collateral contacts, referrals, and appointment coordination for clients in PHP and IOP — including medical, psychiatric, educational, social services, legal/probation, and community-based supports.\nSchedule and confirm client appointments with outside providers and community resources, and follow up to confirm appointments were kept.\nSupport discharge and transition planning alongside the treatment team, helping ensure referrals, aftercare supports, and follow-up appointments are in place before a client leaves care.\nHelp coordinate family and support-system involvement in a client's care plan, in partnership with the clinical team and under proper consent.\nFlag emerging client needs (housing instability, benefits/insurance issues, transportation barriers, school or legal obligations) to the Program Manager and treatment team promptly.\nDocumentation & Team Coordination\nDocument all case management activity and collateral contacts in the client's electronic medical record within 24 hours, per RRC's documentation standards.\nParticipate in the weekly Team & Case Review Meeting, reporting on case management activity, appointment status, and any client needs the clinical team should know about.\nMaintain strict client confidentiality in accordance with 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA.\nReport to the Program Manager on caseload status, outstanding referrals, and any client concerns that need attention.\nAdministrative/Other\nComplete functional timesheets by assigned due dates in compliance with time allocations.\nActively participate in reflective supervision sessions.\nCreate and maintain documentation of processes and procedures related to job duties.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nWorking Conditions\n\nThis position is eligible for hybrid in person & remote work. Time spent on-site versus remote working will be discussed and agreed upon with your supervisor. You are expected to be available on-site as necessary given business needs. You will be expected to sit, stand, and move around the facility for extended periods, and to occasionally assist with light lifting (e.g., client belongings during intake). There will be regular exposure to sensitive behavioral health situations; ability to remain calm and follow RRC protocol, escalating safety or clinical concerns to the Program Manager or clinical leadership rather than managing them alone is required.\n\nLocal travel in the greater Bay Area may be required.\n\nApplying\n\nThe pay scale for this role is $32 per hour (non-exempt). There is a $1 per hour language premium for Spanish/English fluency. The benefits that come with working at RP at full-time hours include medical, dental, and vision plans, a life insurance policy, significant vacation, sick time, restorative care time, and immediate vesting in our 403(b) with a generous match. Applicants must be located in the greater Bay Area.\n\nPreference will be given to internal applicants.\n\nIf all this sounds like a good fit for you, please submit your resume and, instead of a traditional cover letter, respond to the following prompts:\n\nWhy do you want to work for RP and why are you a good fit for this role? (200 words max)\nUsing the qualifications listed above (under Who You Are section), please list the top 5 qualification(s) that you feel you currently excel in and 2 qualifications you feel you will need to work toward proficiency. Please provide a brief explanation for each (a few sentences).\nDescribe your career and educational goals in the substance use disorder field.\n\nAt RP, we are committed to workplace diversity and providing equal employment opportunities. Please also note that we are going to be especially excited about candidates who understand the unique nature of a mission-driven organization and have lived experience or direct experience working with survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, or violent crime.","company":"Ruby","rawCompany":"ruby","city":"Oakland","state":"CA","isRemote":false,"isActive":false,"createdAt":"2026-09-16T10:35:21.445Z","occupations":[{"code":"21-1093.00","title":"Social and Human Service Assistants","slug":"social-and-human-service-assistants"},{"code":"21-1099.00","title":"Community and Social Service Specialists, All Other","slug":"community-and-social-service-specialists-all-other"},{"code":"21-1023.00","title":"Mental Health and Substance Abuse Social Workers","slug":"mental-health-and-substance-abuse-social-workers"}],"industries":[{"code":"624190","title":"Other Individual and Family Services","slug":"other-individual-and-family-services"},{"code":"624229","title":"Other Community Housing Services","slug":"other-community-housing-services"},{"code":"624110","title":"Child and Youth Services","slug":"child-and-youth-services"}],"jobPosting":{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"JobPosting","title":"Case Manager (RRC)","description":"Case Manager (RRC)\n\nHybrid Remote/In-Person Full-Time (40 hrs/wk) Position in Oakland, CA (Non-Exempt)\n\nWho We Are\n\nRuby's Place dba Restorative Pathways (RP) is an innovative nonprofit committed to ending domestic violence, human trafficking, and violent crime through hope, advocacy and connection.
