{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"8ec7d86ccd048e1c04aed9f5","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/8ec7d86ccd048e1c04aed9f5","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/8ec7d86ccd048e1c04aed9f5","title":"Material Handler 2nd shift","description":"CompX Grayslake is a leading manufacturer of highly engineered mechanical and electromechanical locking devices, systems for world class original equipment manufacturers and manufacture of precision instruments, throttles, marine products, and accessories.\nThe candidate should be self-motivated, multi-tasking individual who has good communication and interpersonal skills.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nPrepare parts for shipping to outside vendors (transaction and physical preparation).\nLoad and unload packages from incoming trucks.\nInspect contents to ensure they are undamaged.\nAbility to receive, pick/pull, and ship material via UPS, FedEx, etc.\nDeliver parts to respective areas in the plant.\nTransfer material in/out of stockroom.\nVerify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, etc.).\nPerform Cycle counts and transact material in ERP system.\nPerform all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.\nPut away product/material.\nOther Duties Assigned.\nMinimum Skills, Knowledge and Physical Requirements:\nHigh School Diploma, G.E.D.\nAbility to lift or move up to 35 lbs.\nOccasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs.\nKnowledge of ERP System, a plus.\nAbility to drive all powered equipment (i.e. forklift, pallet jack, tugger, etc.).\nConstant exposure to indoor manufacturing environment.\nConstantly standing and walking throughout the workday.\nFrequent repetitive motions.\nRequired to wear eye protection and safety shoes.\nPreferred Skills and Experience:\nSyteLine knowledge\n\nCompX is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
