This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment used in the manufacturing of concrete masonry units. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience in industrial environments, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a heavy manufacturing setting.\nKey Responsibilities\nInstall, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial manufacturing equipment including block machines, mixers, conveyors, curing systems, palletizers, and related machinery\nDiagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime\nPerform preventive and predictive maintenance per established schedules\nFabricate and modify components using welding, cutting, grinding, and machining tools as needed\nAlign, level, and balance motors, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, and drive systems\nRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and work orders\nAssist with equipment upgrades, plant improvements, and new equipment installations\nMaintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment issues to management\nFollow all safety policies, OSHA regulations, and lockout/tagout procedures\nWork flexible hours, including overtime or weekends, as required to support production\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred\n3–5 years of millwright or industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (concrete, aggregate, or heavy industry preferred)\nStrong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial power transmission\nWelding experience (MIG, stick, or torch) preferred\nAbility to operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and lifting equipment\nAbility to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills\nMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in hot, dusty, and industrial conditions\nPreferred Experience\nExperience in block, precast, or aggregate manufacturing\nBasic electrical knowledge (motors, VFDs, sensors)\nExperience with CMU block machines\nShift: 4AM - 4PM based on production demands.
