Role Overview The Quality Technician supports quality control activities by performing chemical, physical, electrical, and thermal testing on raw materials, in‐process intermediates, and finished goods. This role ensures accurate testing, documentation, and data entry in accordance with established procedures and quality standards. The position contributes to product quality, continuous improvement initiatives, and technical support across laboratory, operations, and development activities. Key Responsibilities Perform quality control testing on raw materials, in‐process intermediates, and finished goods using established methods and procedures. Accurately document test results, identify non‐conformances, and enter quality data to support Certificates of Analysis. Conduct routine and multi‐step laboratory tests across physical, rheological, electrical, and thermal disciplines. Support incoming material inspections, laboratory housekeeping, equipment calibration, and 5S activities. Collaborate on quality improvement initiatives, cross‐functional technical projects, and training support for new lab personnel. Required Qualifications High school education or GED with demonstrated understanding of basic algebra and chemistry concepts. Experience performing laboratory testing through prior work experience, technical training, or scientific coursework. Ability to follow standard operating procedures and testing protocols with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications for data documentation and reporting. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, wear required PPE, and work in a laboratory environment for extended periods. Preferred Qualifications Experience using laboratory instruments related to viscosity, solids, fineness of grind, or similar measurements. Familiarity with ovens, furnaces, or process lab equipment used in materials testing. Exposure to dimensional or precision measurement equipment.
