Individual projects range from $100K to $5MM. Early phase work loading will range from $1MM to $25MM. Total portfolio (including DD and construction) expected range from $5 to $35MM.\n\nWorks with project owners as well as SME and design personnel to develop options, assess them based on HSE, economics, reliability, etc. to finalize recommended scope.\n\nEnsures safe and environmentally responsible project design on assigned projects by participating in cross‑functional project teams to address HSE requirements including Process Risk Assessment (PRA) assistance.\n\nResolve process questions during hazard studies, detailed mechanical design, and start‑up of new or modified plant.\n\nPerforms front‑end process calculations used to develop innovative and cost‑effective designs thus producing quality process deliverables that will identify risk and minimize rework in detailed design through start‑up.\n\nPerforms process critical relief system evaluation including identification of applicable contingencies, sizing calculations, specification development, IFC/start‑up follow‑up calculations, and maintenance of documentation for moderate designs.\n\nLeads one (1) assigned initiative including training and execution for the PTAI project process team to improve process engineering efficiency and consistency with coaching.\n\nQualifications\n\nB.Sc. with > 3 years experience or M.Sc. in Chemical or Process Engineering or equivalent experience.\n\nFluent English.\n\nGood communication skills coupled with the ability to see trends and simplify complex information.\n\nSome experience in manufacturing support and process design (equipment/instrumentation specification).\n\nRelief valve sizing training with practical application.\n\nTrack record in working within project timelines in a dynamic environment.\n\nBasics in partnering and problem‑solving skills.\n\nTypically, 3–7 years’ experience as a process design engineer, or equivalent, with practical experience in manufacturing support, process engineering design with an emphasis on project FEL development, showing basic knowledge in process safety, reaction hazards, electrostatics, and environmental issues.\n\nBasic knowledge of relief design, including contingency development and calculations for typical equipment (mixing vessels, storage tanks, and pumps).\n\nBenefits\n\nA culture that celebrates belonging and collaboration, promotes professional development and strives for a work‑life balance that supports the team members.
