This role provides strategic and tactical leadership for maintenance, reliability, planning and scheduling, predictive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our Ohio infant formula manufacturing assets.\r\nThe Maintenance & Reliability Manager will drive compliance with Perrigo Work Standards (PWS), optimize maintenance processes, improve asset performance, reduce equipment failures, and develop long-term reliability strategies that support operational excellence. This position serves as a key partner to Operations, Quality, Engineering, and EHS teams while leading a team of approximately 15 maintenance professionals including supervisors, planners, schedulers, lead technicians, and maintenance technicians.\r\nWithin the first 12-18 months, the successful candidate will:\r\nImprove equipment reliability and uptime across critical manufacturing assets.\r\nStrengthen preventive and predictive maintenance effectiveness.\r\nDevelop maintenance leadership capabilities across supervisors and technicians.\r\nReduce reactive maintenance through data-driven reliability improvements.\r\nEstablish a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.\r\nScope of the Role Safety, Quality, and Compliance\r\nProvide full accountability for employee safety and promote a proactive safety culture.\r\nEnsure compliance with cGMP, FDA, food safety, environmental, and quality requirements.\r\nLead investigations related to equipment failures, deviations, CAPAs, and reliability events.\r\nEnsure maintenance and reliability activities support product quality and process capability requirements.\r\nParticipate in audits and regulatory inspections while ensuring maintenance systems remain inspection ready.\r\nEnsure MOC process activities and actions are documented and completed on time.\r\nMaintenance & Reliability Leadership\r\nServe as the site Reliability Leader.\r\nDevelop and execute the site Asset Care Strategy to improve equipment uptime, availability, and reliability.\r\nLead equipment criticality assessments and reliability improvement initiatives.\r\nDevelop maintenance strategies based on asset criticality and reliability principles.\r\nUtilize reliability methodologies, including:\r\nRCA, FMEA, RCM, Equipment Criticality Assessments, Defect Elimination Programs\r\nTransform site reliability performance metrics and dashboards.\r\nPeople Leadership and Development\r\nLead and develop Maintenance Supervisors, Planners, Schedulers, and maintenance technicians.\r\nBuild maintenance and reliability competencies across the facility.\r\nProvide coaching, mentoring, performance management, and career development.\r\nSupport recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and succession planning activities.\r\nFoster a culture of accountability, ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.\r\nPromote knowledge sharing and technical skill development through training programs and OEM partnerships.\r\nContinuous Improvement and Projects\r\nThis role focuses on driving compliance with Perrigo Work Standards (PWS), which includes optimizing preventive and predictive maintenance programs and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and reliability.\r\nLead site maintenance and reliability improvement initiatives focused on: Equipment uptime\r\nDowntime reduction\r\nOEE improvement\r\nCost optimization\r\nWaste elimination\r\nProductivity enhancement\r\nUtilize Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and reliability methodologies to drive sustainable improvements.\r\nDevelop annual reliability improvement roadmaps aligned with business objectives.\r\nSupport cross-functional continuous improvement projects throughout the facility.\r\nAdditional Responsibilities\r\nLead spare parts identification & procurement efforts, Bill of Materials development for factory equipment, identify/secure critical supply and service agreements.\r\nLead maintenance execution processes to achieve safety, quality, operational, and financial objectives.\r\nEnsure effective work planning, scheduling, and execution processes.\r\nServe as escalation point for critical maintenance and reliability issues.\r\nDrive maintenance backlog management and work prioritization.\r\nCoordinate maintenance activities with operations to maximize production uptime.\r\nMake timely decisions that minimize operational risk and production losses.\r\nExperience Required Education and Experience\r\nBachelor's degree in engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or equivalent experience preferred.\r\nMinimum 7 years of maintenance, reliability engineering, or asset management experience in a manufacturing environment.\r\nMinimum 3-5 years of leadership experience managing maintenance and reliability teams.\r\nExperience within FDA-regulated pharmaceutical, food, consumer healthcare, or GMP manufacturing environments required.\r\nStrong understanding of maintenance and reliability best practices.\r\nExperience managing planning and scheduling functions.\r\nExperience with capital project implementation and commissioning activities.\r\nExperience in Asset Reliability and predictive maintenance methodologies and technologies.\r\nCertified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), ISO Category I or II Vibration Certification, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) training, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus.\r\nSkills and Competencies\r\nStrong leadership, communication, and team development skills.\r\nAbility to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.\r\nAdvanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities.\r\nExpertise in predictive maintenance technologies and condition monitoring.\r\nExcellent analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities.\r\nProficiency with SAP PM, Microsoft Office, and manufacturing systems.\r\nStrong business acumen with focus on reliability, cost, and operational
