Your core output is a steady pipeline of engaged, onboarded volunteers ready to contribute from day one.Time Commitment: Ideally 5+ hours per week – Location: RemoteSourcing and Pipeline BuildingFinding great people before they find us – proactively identifying candidates across the right channels.You will:Source candidates via LinkedIn, Climatebase, and climate‐adjacent platformsBuild and maintain a pipeline of prospective volunteers for active and anticipated openingsEngage passive candidates with warm, authentic outreach that reflects the 4WARD toneTrack outreach and pipeline status in Airtable or Asana to keep the team informedIdentify high‐potential candidates from within the 4WARD network itselfInterviewing and SelectionRunning a consistent, human interview process that respects candidates' time and surfaces real fit.You will:Conduct initial screening calls and structured interviews for volunteer rolesAssess candidates for both skill fit and mission alignmentMaintain clear notes and recommendations for hiring decisionsCoordinate scheduling across time zones with minimal frictionProvide timely, respectful feedback to candidates regardless of outcomeOnboarding and Record ManagementMaking sure every new volunteer has a smooth start and that the team always has accurate, up‐to‐date records.You will:Coordinate onboarding steps including tool access, introductions, and role briefingsMaintain accurate volunteer records across platforms (Airtable, Notion, or similar)Send welcome materials and ensure new volunteers know who to go to for whatFlag gaps or drop‐offs in the onboarding process and suggest improvementsTrack volunteer tenure and flag re‐engagement opportunities where relevantWhat You'll GainA front‐row seat to the global climate and sustainability ecosystemDirect collaboration with 4WARD's People and Culture team, city leads, and leadership across 90+ citiesCreative freedom to shape how we attract and onboard talent across a global volunteer operationExposure to founders, investors, policymakers, and operators across sectors and geographiesA real path to grow into a Head of People or Talent Lead role as we scaleWhat We're Looking ForBackground & ExperienceExperience in recruitment, HR, talent acquisition, or volunteer coordination (formal or informal)Familiarity with sourcing tools and platforms, particularly LinkedIn; Climatebase a plusComfortable working with tools like Asana, Airtable, Notion, or similarExperience working in a remote, globally distributed team environmentPassion for climate, cleantech, or sustainability is essential – this is a mission‐first roleKey Skills & QualitiesOrganised: Strong workflow discipline with the ability to juggle multiple open roles and candidate threads simultaneouslyCommunicative: Clear, warm written and verbal communication that makes candidates feel seenResourceful: Able to find strong candidates through creative sourcing, not just job boardsRelationship‐driven: Treats every candidate interaction as a potential long‐term connectionMission‐aligned: Genuinely energised by the opportunity to staff a global climate movementFellowship BenefitsHands‐on experience running end‐to‐end recruitment across a fast‐moving global organisationClose collaboration with 4WARD's People and Culture team and city leads across 90+ citiesSkill development in talent sourcing, structured interviewing, and remote team onboardingMeaningful connections across the global climate and sustainability ecosystemA clear path to grow into a leadership role within the organisation for the right personApply to Join as Talent Acquisition Specialist (Volunteer) – https://4ward.earth/volunteer#J-18808-Ljbffr
