The ideal candidate will be capable of leading a 3–4 person crew, coordinating daily operations, understanding engineered plans, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company and engineering standards.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n● Lead and manage a 3–4 person marine construction crew\n\n● Run projects from mobilization through completion\n\n● Operate barges and marine construction equipment\n\n● Operate excavators and other heavy equipment\n\n● Read and interpret construction plans and engineered drawings\n\n● Understand and communicate engineered requirements to the crew\n\n● Perform and oversee seawall, dock, retaining wall, cofferdam, and marine construction work\n\n● Perform carpentry and structural construction work\n\n● Coordinate materials, equipment, and daily jobsite activities\n\n● Maintain a safe, organized, and productive jobsite\n\n● Communicate effectively with company management, engineers, inspectors, and clients when needed\n\n● Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and quality standards\n\nRequirements\n\n● Minimum 5 years of marine construction experience\n\n● Proven experience leading construction crews\n\n● Must be experienced operating barges\n\n● Must be experienced operating excavators and heavy equipment\n\n● Ability to read and understand engineered construction plans\n\n● Ability to interpret and communicate engineering requirements to a crew\n\n● Strong carpentry skills\n\n● Strong understanding of marine construction methods and practices\n\n● Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field\n\n● Valid driver’s license\n\n● Strong work ethic and dependable attendance\n\n● Commitment to safety and quality workmanship\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\nWe are looking for someone who knows marine construction and can take responsibility for getting a project done correctly.
