Works from blueprints, parts lists and assembly cards. Uses parts washers, freezers, ovens, cranes, fork trucks, hand, and power tools. Will shim and final assemble gear units. Can work alone, with other assemblers, and oversees lower grade assemblers and May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.\n\nJob Responsibilities:\n\nLathe experience helpful but not required\nGeneral shop safety training\nShop computers (EATRC, Work Standards)\nParts washer use\nCrane operation and safety\nProper use of chains, shackles, and straps\nOven and induction heaters operation and use\nMust have the ability to be trained by peers\nHydraulic torque wrench use in including torque specifications\nProper loctite use.
