As a system engineer, you will be working as a central communication interface for technical aspects between external (customers) and internal (different departments), responsible for supporting the activities and projects of MV products.\n\nThe position is 5 days in office, located at our headquarters in Houston, TX.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nTechnical support of all aspects of battery system project as well as technical management\n\nProvide technical layouts and proposals to customer inquiries\n\nCoordination of the system interfaces between the individual departments as well as coordination of the same with the customer\n\nPreparation of technical documentation\n\nCoordinate with various teams in different locations to improve efficiency of all projects and activities\n\nSupport methodical root cause analysis and resolve non-compliance issues in part performance\n\nHandle engineering tools\n\nProvide technical support to the different teams within the organization\n\nSupport for the commissioning of products internally or at the customer's(on-site or remotely)\n\nSupport and managing prototypes\n\nOther duties may be assigned\n\nQualifications & Skills\nRequired\n\nBachelor's or Master’s degree in mechanical, electrical or other relevant engineering field (f/m/d) or a comparable qualification\n\nSeveral years of experience in the automotive or lithium ion battery industry\n\nKnowledge of requirements management and development process (IATF16949, APQP or V model, etc.)\n\nTechnical expertise in the field of lithium‑ion battery systems and / or electric vehicle drives\n\nKnowledge of the methods of advance quality planning / quality assurance in development\n\nExperience in use of MS Office, engineering analysis Tools (e.g. CANalyzer, Matlab) in a windows-environment\n\nExperience in public transportation (e.g. school bus) systems preferred.\n\nVery good comprehension and analytical thinking skills\n\nCareful and conscientious, structured and organized way of working\n\nTeam and communication skills\n\nMicrovast is an Equal Opportunity Employer who is committed to building strength and delivering long-term sustainability through diversity and inclusion.
