JR PURCHASER - KITCHEN & BATH / CABINETRY

Williams Distributing is looking for a hard-working and motivated individual to join their team as a Kitchen & Bath Purchaser in their Kitchen & Bath Division. The ideal candidate will be driven, hard-working, and reliable. Candidates must have outstanding interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills, be detailed oriented, computer literate, and possess superior negotiating problem-solving skills.Responsibilities Manage purchasing for assigned stock and/or non-stock productsAssist with maintaining inventory levels and materials on a regular basisEstablish as a “product expert” for WilliamsEnsure accurate and timely processing of:Backorder reportsPast due reportsMissing productsPO & vendor invoice reconciliationBilling of Direct shipmentWork cross-functionally with sales and design operations to address needs which could entail:Effectively communicate with the management team to ensure all orders are accuratecoordinate with the Warehouse Team to determine and manage inventory needsCommunication of inbound trailer schedule with Receiving Team when necessaryInteract with vendors to schedule delivery times and resolve shipping errorsVendor PurchasingProgram administrationMaintain and enhance relationships with vendorsEnsure that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specificationsCommunicate with vendor on product quality issues and corrective measuresOther duties as assigned by the ManagerRequirements Excellent communication skillsAccuracy with data entrySkill in math to ensure correct calculationsProficient computer skills including MS Office Products- specifically ExcelPrior experience and understanding of purchase order software platformsWilliams Distributing Co. and Shoemaker Inc., part of Daikin Comfort Technologies North America, Inc., a leading wholesale distributor in Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana, specializing in HVAC equipment and residential products like Kitchen and Bath, Hearth, and Garage Doors.
