Candidate will support the administration, performance, availability, and reliability of enterprise IBM DB2 for z/OS environments. The role will work closely with database, application, and infrastructure teams to maintain mission-critical systems, resolve production issues, and implement upgrades and system improvements.\n\n*Required Qualifications of the Systems Programmer III DB2:*\n\n* Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.\n* 4+ years of IT experience, including varied programming or systems-related experience.\n* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.\n* Hands-on experience with IBM mainframe technologies, including *DB2 and z/OS*.\n* Experience with SYSVIEW, Broadcom products, or other IBM/mainframe-related technologies.\n* Strong analytical, logical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\n* Knowledge of database management, data storage concepts, and advanced programming techniques.\n* Understanding of production system maintenance and the potential impact of software or infrastructure changes.\n* Experience with systems software quality assurance, testing, implementation, and change-management practices.\n* Ability to evaluate technical specifications for completeness and compatibility and learn new programming languages, utilities, and tools.\n\n*Preferred Skills/Experience of the Systems Programmer III DB2:*\n\nExperience supporting enterprise DB2 for z/OS environments, including subsystem administration, performance tuning, upgrades and migrations, disaster recovery, production troubleshooting, and data movement between environments.\n\n*Responsibilities of the Systems Programmer III DB2:*\n\n* Install, configure, maintain, and administer IBM DB2 for z/OS subsystems in an enterprise mainframe environment.\n* Monitor and tune DB2 performance to improve system availability, stability, and resource utilization.\n* Plan and execute DB2 maintenance, upgrades, migrations, and related systems changes.\n* Troubleshoot and resolve complex production incidents while supporting critical business applications.\n* Support disaster recovery activities and facilitate data movement across development, testing, and production environments.\n* Participate in a rotating 24x7 on-call schedule and collaborate with database administrators and technical teams on system improvements.\n\n*Work Location: *Remote.
