You’ll own what you ship and how you ship it. If you identify a better approach, you have the authority to take it.\n\nThe constraint isn’t implementation speed anymore. It’s knowing what deserves to be built and executing at high quality. We expect engineers to think like product people. You’ll take on a project and drive it from inception through production: determine the right solution, build it well, and deploy it.\n\nWe hire engineers who can work across the stack. You don’t need to be an expert everywhere, but you should be comfortable driving efforts across both the back- and front-end, with the help of AI agents, without waiting on another team.\n\nIf you want to push the boundaries of how software gets built with AI, this is the place to do it.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\nBuild core backend functionality in Ruby on Rails and relational databases\nWork daily in Claude Code and ship features using LLMs and agentic workflows\nArchitect backend improvements for performance and scalability\nBuild React components in TypeScript for customer-facing features\nBuild and deploy 3rd party integrations to expand platform functionality\nDrive projects from concept to production—identify the right approach, execute it, ship it\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams on product decisions and user experience\nWhat We’re Looking For\nB.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a similar technical field\n5+ years of professional full-stack web development\nExcellent written communication and code review skills\nStrong understanding of Ruby and Rails (or deep experience in a similar backend framework and willingness to learn Rails)\nProficiency in JavaScript, preferably with React, Vue, or Angular\nExperience or strong interest in AI/LLM technologies and prompt-first development workflows\nTrack record of maintaining production applications and writing clear, maintainable, tested code\nExperience with Git, CI/CD, and regular deployments\nDeep appreciation for UX and usability—you care what the end user experiences\nAbility to mentor other engineers is a plus\n\nWork Details\nRemote, no time zone requirements\nWeekdays, business hours\nNo travel required\n\nBenefits\nCompetitive compensation\nComprehensive health plan coverage\n401k plan\nPaid time off\n\nInterested?
