Similar Master's Degree preferred.\r\nAdvanced technical knowledge of EHS&S\r\nAbility to integrate EHS&S with other technical and business disciplines\r\nDemonstrated ability to drive and influence the development of new principles, concepts and business results reflecting a broad range of stakeholder needs\r\nComprehensive understanding of EHS&S regulations and requirements\r\nTrack record of providing leadership in the definition, communication and execution of high impact EHS&S programs, systems and initiatives\r\nRequired Skills/CompetenciesExcellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills\r\nAbility to work with and influence people at all levels inside and external to the company\r\nStrong problem solving skills/ experience\r\nAbility to work both in a hands-on and leadership capacity\r\nAbility to work in a fast paced environment with high degree of flexibility\r\nEssential ResponsibilitiesOverseeing day-to-day plant EHS operational support and results\r\nEnsuring compliance with regulatory requirements and First Solar policies\r\nMentoring the plant EHS team\r\nEstablishing partnerships with internal organizations to proactively influence the integration of EHS into their operational activities and plans\r\nDriving continuous improvement initiatives at the plant including ensuring that compliance/ risk assurance processes are robust (e.g. self-identifying/ correcting issues)\r\nPartnering closely with other regional and global EHS teams in the sharing of lessons learned and best practices\r\nRepresent EHS and First Solar to key external stakeholders (e.g. regulators, community, industry peers, customers)\r\nJob description subject to change at any time\r\nReporting RelationshipsMultiple direct reports\r\nTravelMay travel up to 20% annually\r\nPhysical RequirementsWill sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift\r\nWill climb stairs on an occasional basis\r\nWill lift, push or pull up to 27 pounds on an occasional basis\r\nRequired to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis\r\n20/40 vision in each eye, with or without correction, is required\r\nMust be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures\r\nMay reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis\r\nMay stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis\r\nAbility to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective jacket or apron and arm guards)\r\nAll associates working on the production floor may be required to wear a respirator at any given time and thus, the ability to wear a respirator is a condition of employment and continued employment (requires little or no facial hair)\r\nPotential candidates will meet the education and experience requirements provided on the above job description and excel in completing the listed responsibilities for this role.
