Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)-Full-time Temp

Burke Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) Program Position #100 Location: Angelina and surrounding counties. This position may be housed in Lufkin, Nacogdoches, or Livingston Position Summary This position delivers direct physical therapy and consultative services, as recommended by the interdisciplinary team, to developmentally delayed and/or medically at-risk children from birth to age three in a community-based setting. In accordance with Texas licensure requirements, Physical Therapist Assistants must work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Education Required: Completion of a program from an accredited college or university, resulting in certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Experience Preferred: One (1) year of experience working with children from birth to three (3) years old and/or preschool-aged children. Licensure and Certifications Required: Licensed, in good standing, by the Texas State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners. Required: Valid Texas driver's license. Individuals seeking licensure will be considered. Physical Requirements Required: Sight, hearing, talking, lifting up to 25 pounds, walking, bending, driving a vehicle, and hand/finger dexterity.
