We offer flexible work arrangements, including hybrid and remote work options, in addition to the option of working full time in office.\nRole Summary:\nSteere is seeking a civil engineer with 10+ years of highway/transportation engineering experience to join our Transportation Group and assist with the delivery of transportation projects throughout New England. The role will blend technical expertise with project management to a level commensurate to the successful candidate’s experience, qualifications, and motivation. The successful candidate shall be experienced in civil engineering and have the leadership and organizational skills necessary to lead and manage a team of engineers on various types of transportation projects.\nTypical Duties:\nManagement of civil highway and transportation design and contract document preparation (plans, specifications, estimates)\nManagement of project budget and schedule\nCoordination and communication with clients, sub-consultants, and project team members\nQuality review of work products\nProposal preparation and Scope and Fee development\nRequired Qualifications:\n10+ years of experience in civil highway/transportation engineering\nBachelor’s degree in civil engineering\nAbility to manage projects from preliminary planning through completion\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nProficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Microsoft Office Suite products, and Bluebeam\nRIDOT and MassDOT experience (preferred)\nExperience in drainage/stormwater design (preferred)\nPE license in Rhode Island and/or Massachusetts, or ability to obtain within 6 months\nSteere is an equal opportunity employer.
