The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing both on-premises and cloud-based enterprise applications and systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security. As a System Application Administrator, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions, provide troubleshooting support, and manage system configurations across diverse environments. The actual salary offered will vary based on applicant’s relevant skills, education, experience, certifications and geographic location as well as other business and organizational needs.\nThis position is located in Syracuse, NY or Norcross, GA and requires onsite work.\nWhat you'll be doing:\nProvide technical support for both non-production and production environments, including issue resolution.\nCollaborate with vendors and software companies. Address technical questions on application, database, server and security configurations.\nWork with technical and functional teams for application support, system integrations and security administration. Monitor environments, collaborate on performance tuning, manage code migrations, builds, testing and implementation. Apply patches and deliver application upgrades.\nParticipate in team retrospectives focusing on continuous improvement. Identify and recommend enhancements, logs and completes application administration requests to improve system solutions.\nShare knowledge provides cross-training and peer support. Participate in estimating and planning future application administration tasks.\nUpdate application administration and end-user documentation and procedures for applications, databases, servers and security.\nUpdate technical documentation for use by admin or support teams, guided by senior application administrators.\nParticipate in testing new applications, integrations, systems, solutions and upgrades.\nAdhere to best practice application administration and change management procedures.\nContribute to system projects or enhancements by completing assigned tasks in alignment with project plans and estimates.\nSupport end-user community consisting of operations, warehouse as well as office-based employees with varying degrees of skillsets.\nParticipate in after-hours, on-call rotations as needed.\nWhat we're looking for:\nBachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in application support and troubleshooting.\n4 years' experience supporting cloud and on-premises applications.\n4 years' experience with multi-tier applications employing application and web servers.\nApplication interface, design and relational database technologies experience preferred.\nExperience with project management from planning through implementation preferred.\nDemonstrate understanding of the following core technologies: basic networking, Microsoft Windows, Unix/Linux and Oracle.\nExhibit strong teamwork, interpersonal and customer service skills.\nPossess excellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to organize and manage multiple priorities, while demonstrating strong attention to detail and appreciation of deadlines.\nManual dexterity required.
