Career Welder - Day ShiftTrinity Industries, Inc. is hiring a Career Welder at our Saginaw, TX plant. The Career Welder position is a great opportunity for a resilient, team-minded individual who does not stray away from a challenge. What you'll do:Apply appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate and repair parts of metal or other weldable materials according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics, and sketches using manual, automatic welding and/or semi-automatic welding equipmentMay lay out and mark weld points on parts or subassembliesMay position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand toolsInspect completed work for conformance to specificationsWork on semi-routine assignmentsMay be involved in safety committees or initiativesQualifications:1 - 2 years of related welding experienceHand welds in all positionsPerforms repairs to subassemblies for final productsExperience with Oxy FuelExperience with Carbon ArcMay conduct NDE testsSome understanding of the technical aspects of the jobAbility to follow verbal or simple written instructions and proceduresObserves all standard safety practices and maintains and completes all required recordsFollows all safety rules and practices.
