At all-times and stages, this position will hold responsibilities for routinely visiting Kent project site locations for the management, meetings and overall control of Kent’s Construction Program.Under the direction of the USA Country Manager, you will direct the day-to-day operations of a particular project or group of projects, implementing plans and policies to achieve the overall objectives to insure maximum operating results. Has the responsibility and authority to ensure that all projects meet the company’s safety and quality standards and overall Kent committed contractual requirements.This position will have onsite roles assigned in projects across the USA, some possibly remote locations for extended durations. As our Construction business continues to grow into a program, this role could transition to the Kent Houston office as a full-time leadership role. Skills and Responsibilities: Assisting in the preparation and implementation of Construction Program and leading/management to adhere to The Kent Way.Comprehensive development of for areas (Constructability Plan, Project and Module Optimization Plans, Path of Construction, AWP/CPM Plans, Extensive Proposals and Technical Papers/Strategies, among other tasks) related to Kent Construction Services, inclusive of Construction Management and Integrated Project Management Teams as applicable to EPC delivery.Plans, manages, and controls assigned projects, including overseeing field operations, site safety, productivity, schedule, quality work, and direct field resources including subcontractor and supplier coordination.Assists in the recruitment of Construction personnel for projects.Incorporates safety and environmental responsibility into daily action.Incorporates positive interpersonal skills when communicating or interacting with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and all personnel. – Inclusive of incorporating direct involvement and task assignments regarding Suppliers, Vendors, and Subcontractors selection(s) for Construction Management and Construction Projects.Supervises, directs, and evaluates the performance and activities of construction teams to ensure quality completion of construction services assignments on time and within budget limits.Coordinates and controls all construction management activities, including scheduling and claims administration, job progress monitoring and job coordination with multiple contractors.Provides internal consultation to construction representatives in project offices and acts as a technical subject matter resource to other function groups within the company.Reviews government regulation to provide consultation that reflect an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of legal requirements.Employs organizational skills that effectively minimize obstacles that negatively impact the project. When obstacles arise, employ sound decision making/problem solving skills to resolve the issue.Directs and monitors strategic plans consistent with overall profit and growth objectives.Recognizes the responsibilities charged to the managerial position and the significant impact they have on profit or loss, ultimately influencing corporate success or failure.Implements overall policy and direction for the projects within overall corporate objective as dictated by the USA Country Manager and in coordination with Project Managers.Assists in estimating and preparing proposals, developing bid strategies, techniques, etc. Reviews final estimate packages to ensure accuracy and completeness, prior to formal quotation and presentation.Provides technical direction in negotiating contracts, change orders, etc., as required.Manages and administers the Construction projects/programs and discipline functions including HSSE-Q, budgets, schedules, staffing, work assignments performance evaluations, etc. for the pre-development of pursuit opportunities and for the execution of awarded projects and programs. Responsible for controlling and managing projects/programs under the agreed terms, conditions, budgets/P&L margins, and deliverable commitments. Successfully integrates technical, business, and human objectives to achieve desired results.Supervision of Superintendents, Quality Manager, HSSE Manager, Project Controls Manager, Materials Control Manager, Subcontracts Manager.Cooperates with Project Management and Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Corporate Functions, and Embedded teams.Fosters and promotes Kent’s core beliefs and operating principles, inclusive of culture, practices, systems, and standards of operation through work transparency, effective internal/external business engagement to support and drive Kent business for growth continuance and risk management. All other duties as assigned.In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience: Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) OR extensive construction experience (a minimum of 20 years) related to the oil & gas industry, or demonstrated equivalent via experienceDemonstrated ability to put the Health and Safety of stakeholders at the forefront and translate into daily communication and action.Experience working with environmental regulations as they pertain to the oil & gas industry.Prior direct experience in managing construction on EPC, EPCM projects up to $350 million.Downstream Petrochemical, Energy or related experience and US Gulf Coast project experience is required.Extensive network of Construction Managers, Superintendents, and supervision willing to work in your organization is strongly preferred.MS Office (Excel and Word) proficiency will be needed.Communication:Excellent oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal/rapport building skills necessary to work effectively as a team member, and to plan/coordinate processes for results.Behavior/ Core Competencies:Contribute to a team environment by accomplishing related results in a cooperative and supportive manner.Works autonomously without direct supervision.Must be able to work within the rigors of project execution and create an environment of trust and sound decision-making with the ability to remain calm while taking charge of critical situationsExcellent skills in interpersonal relations, conflict resolution, communication, and leadership.Functional proficiency in project controls, human relations, industrial relations, and contract management as applicable to assigned area of responsibility and possess the capacity to direct those functions as required to support the project execution.Ability to direct other line supervision as necessary in their respective roles to meet or exceed all project objectives.Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal statutes and guidelines.HSSEQ:The Employee shall observe the Health, Safety, Sustainability, Environment and Quality rules of the Company; it’s clients and the governing authorities of the host country.
