This is a part time hybrid position with 2-3 days onsite a week.\n\nEach day U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) oversees the massive flow of people, capital, and products that enter and depart the United States via air, land, sea, and cyberspace. The volume and complexity of both physical and virtual border crossings require the application of “big data” solutions to promote efficient trade and travel. These solutions provide CBP personnel with additional tools to evaluate potential threats from legitimate trade and travel.\n\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\n\nHelp maintain existing dashboards and generate recurring reports under the guidance of senior analysts.\nPerform basic data validation and cleaning tasks to ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting.\nAssist in documenting data sources, query logic, and reporting processes to ensure team knowledge sharing.\nIdentify, review, and evaluate large volumes of sensitive and complex intelligence data pertaining to CBP initiatives.\nCollaborate with intel analysts, enterprise/application architects, database architects, data scientists, and mission stakeholders.\nWork closely with team members to understand data requirements and provide support for ad-hoc requests and actively participate in training and mentorship opportunities to build proficiency in agency data tools and methodologies.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\nAS and 4-13 years or BS and 2+ years or MS and 0-5 years or PHD and 0-3 years in Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics or Mathematics.\nCoursework related and/or prior internship related to data analytics.\nStrong knowledge of SQL and a strong interest in data management.
