The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.\nResponsibilities\nOperate forklifts, reach trucks, Hi-Lo lifts, clamp trucks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport goods.\nPerform order picking using barcode scanning systems and manual methods to fulfill shipping and inventory requirements.\nLoad and unload shipments accurately while adhering to safety protocols and weight limits.\nConduct routine inspections and basic maintenance or repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance.\nAssist with inventory management tasks such as stock counts, cycle counts, and updating warehouse management systems.\nSupport shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.\nFollow OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and warehouse safety protocols consistently.\nHandle materials with manual handling techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary.\nUse barcode scanners for logistics tracking and ensure proper documentation of all movements.\nCollaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage layouts and improve overall warehouse distribution efficiency.\nSkills\nProven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, Hi-Lo lifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.\nStrong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures.\nMechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic repairs on equipment.\nFamiliarity with safety standards in production environments such as OSHA regulations.\nAbility to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper manual handling techniques.\nBasic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately.\nExperience in shipping & receiving operations along with order picking processes.\nKnowledge of barcode scanning technology used in logistics workflows.\nEffective communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors.\nUnderstanding of warehouse operations including distribution processes and materials handling best practices.\nThis position offers an engaging environment where safety is prioritized alongside operational excellence.
