Our team supports clients nationwide who depend on precise coordination and real-time communication to keep their freight moving.We are looking for a Night & Weekend Logistics Coordinator to support our operations team by monitoring active shipments, tracking freight in transit, and communicating updates to customers and internal stakeholders.Experience in tradeshow or event logistics is highly valued due to the unique scheduling, delivery windows, and handling requirements associated with these shipments.Position OverviewThe Night & Weekend Logistics Coordinator is responsible for tracking shipments in transit, communicating updates, resolving issues, and ensuring that freight reaches its destination on time. This role plays a critical part in supporting our customers during after-hours operations.This position is hybrid, with occasional work from our office in West Chicago, IL.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor active shipments during evenings and weekendsTrack and trace freight across multiple carriers and transportation partnersCommunicate shipment updates with customers, drivers, and internal team membersProactively identify potential delays or service issues and escalate when neededCoordinate recovery solutions when freight encounters delays or disruptionsMaintain accurate shipment updates within our transportation systemsEnsure high levels of service and responsiveness during off-hours operationsPreferred Qualifications2+ years of experience in logistics, freight brokerage, or transportation operationsTradeshow logistics experience strongly preferredStrong communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple shipments simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentComfortable working independently during nights and weekendsFamiliarity with load boards, carrier communication, and shipment tracking toolsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly compensationFlexible hybrid work environmentOpportunity to work in a specialized logistics niche supporting major events and tradeshowsCollaborative and experienced operations teamGrowth opportunities within Superior Logistics
