As a member of the Advanced Analytics team, the successful candidate will collaborate directly with economists, financial engineers, risk analysts, and policy experts. He or she will apply quantitative techniques to measure and analyze model risks and form opinions on the strengths and limitations of the respective models. A solid understanding of traditional financial valuation and modeling techniques along with a strong foundation in programming, statistical methods, and data analysis is essential.\n\nPrimary Duties\n\nLeverage in-depth technical knowledge of predictive analytics, statistics, modelling techniques and simulation approaches to develop valuation, risk management, and pricing models.\n\nConduct research and produce proof-of-concept demonstration systems to test new quantitative modeling approaches and solutions to complex problems\n\nTranslate quantitative and business concepts into efficient, robust, supportable system design and architecture.\n\nPartner with stakeholder analytics teams across ComEd and the Enterprise to expand the use and gather feedback on the models and systems\n\nJob Scope\n\nReports to the Director Advanced Analysis\n\nThis is an individual contributor position that works under general supervision, relying on knowledge, skills and judgment acquired through education and relevant experience to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nBachelor's degree in quantitative field\n\n2 to 4 years of relevant experience\n\nThorough understanding of applied and financial mathematics concepts and techniques (including advanced statistical techniques)\n\nAbility to use a broad range of development languages (e.g. C/C++, Python, Perl, Matlab, etc.), and databases query languages\n\nAbility to quickly master industry fundamental concepts including energy commodity markets, portfolio valuation, and system dynamics\n\nShould be self-driven and able to work in (and lead) team sizes ranging from individual contribution to several members.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nEnergy industry experience\n\nPrior experience in an operations research role\n\nIn-depth experience in one or more programming language\n\nIdeal candidate with have experience performing advanced quantitative analysis and developing and/or validating risk models.\n\nTechnical & Analytical Skills\n\nAdvanced proficiency in SQL, Python for querying large datasets, performing statistical analysis, and automating data pipelines related to outage and reliability metrics (e.g., SAIFI, SAIDI, CAIDI).\n\nStrong data visualization and storytelling skills using tools like Power BI or Tableau to translate complex analyses into executive-ready insights.\n\nBenefits\n\nAnnual salary will vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $75,200.00/Yr. – $103,400.00/Yr.\n\nAnnual Bonus for eligible positions: 10%\n\n401(k) match and annual company contribution\n\nMedical, dental and vision insurance\n\nLife and disability insurance\n\nGenerous paid time off options, including vacation, sick time, floating and fixed holidays, maternity leave and bonding/primary caregiver leave or parental leave\n\nEmployee Assistance Program and resources for mental and emotional support\n\nWellbeing programs such as tuition reimbursement, adoption and surrogacy assistance and fitness reimbursement\n\nReferral bonus program\n\nAnd much more\n\nNote: Exelon-sponsored compensation and benefit programs may vary or not apply based on length of service, job grade, job classification or represented status.
