{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"8d962bc0e4892f1ca55b3a9d","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/8d962bc0e4892f1ca55b3a9d","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/8d962bc0e4892f1ca55b3a9d","title":"Leaching Operator Assistant","description":"Gunnison Copper-formerly Excelsior Mining has an immediate employment opportunity at its operations at Johnson Camp Mine / Gunnison Project located in southeastern Arizona between the cities of Benson and Willcox.\n\nJob Title: Leach Field Operator Assistant\nUnder the supervision of the Leaching Supervisor, the Leach Field Operator Assistant leads and supports operations, installation of piping and maintenance of the heap leach pad.\nResponsibilities:\nCoordinate with SX plant operations in shut-down and start-up of solution distribution when needed\nPerform day-to-day installation and maintenance of heap leach lines\nConduct solution application flow rate measurements\nMaintain work area and equipment to ensure a clean and safe work environment\nPrepare and maintain records according to job assignment\nProduce maintenance requests and work orders from work area inspection sheets\nComply with all federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations (EPA, ADEQ, MSHA etc.)\nLead and participate in safety meetings within the department\nAssist HSE with rework of SOP’s as needed\nPerforms all duties in a safe and professional manner\nPerforms other duties as assigned\nQualifications:\nHigh School diploma or equivalent\n1 year of experience in leach operation, preferably in a mining environment, preferred Prior supervisor experience preferred\nAbility to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals\nAbility to write routine reports and correspondence\nAbility to complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently with minimal supervision, required\n\nQualifications:\nHigh School diploma or equivalent\n1 year of experience in leach operation, preferably in a mining environment, preferred Prior supervisor experience preferred\nAbility to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals\nAbility to write routine reports and correspondence\nAbility to complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently with minimal supervision, required.\nStrong communication skills\nMay be required to work varying shifts.\n\nGunnison Copper offers a competitive salary and benefits package to include paid time off and 401k.\nCandidates must have the ability to work unrestricted in the U.S. as there is no visa sponsorship.
