This role combines hands-on technical expertise with project leadership, ensuring the stability, scalability, and automation of our CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and deployment processes. We're dedicated to fostering an inclusive, purpose-driven, and innovative work environment where everyone belongs.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nLeadership:\nMentor and develop a distributed team of 4-7 DevOps Engineers.\nCoordinate work across Ireland, India, and North America time zones.\nDrive alignment on priorities, sprint goals, and technical standards.\nFoster a collaborative and inclusive team culture.\nCI/CD Pipeline Management:\nOversee design, maintenance, and improvement of CI/CD pipelines.\nEnsure consistent deployment practices across multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).\nImplement quality gates and automated testing within release pipelines.\nTroubleshoot and resolve critical build and release issues.\nInfrastructure Automation:\nChampion infrastructure-as-code practices (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM).\nStandardize cloud provisioning, configuration, and resource management.\nLead adoption of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).\nModernize deployment workflows, phasing out legacy methods.\nDevelopment Support:\nProvide tooling and automation to improve developer productivity\nPropose Optimizations for development and staging environments\nSupport containerization of applications and services\nCollaborate with engineering teams on deployment requirements and optimization\nMonitoring & Operations:\nDefine monitoring and alerting standards for developer infrastructure and pipelines.\nEnsure effective capacity planning and cost optimization.\nParticipate in high-priority incident response and post-mortems.\nMaintain clear documentation and operational runbooks.\n\nQualifications\n\n10+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform, or Software Engineering.\n6+ years of experience leading technical projects and mentoring engineering teams.\nExpertise with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.).\nStrong background in AWS (Azure and GCP exposure a plus).\nProficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code.\nStrong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or equivalent).\nExcellent communication skills for working across global teams.\nEducation/Certifications/Licenses:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field\nEquivalent combination of education and experience will be considered\n\nPreferred\n\nExperience with Java and Spring Boot deployments.\nFamiliarity with database automation, monitoring, and secrets management.\nCloud or Kubernetes certifications (AWS, Azure, CKA/CKAD).\n\nEEO Statement\n\niCIMS is a place where everyone belongs.
