As a key member of an executive correspondence team, you will keep senior-level work moving by coordinating information, managing correspondence and suspense items, preparing briefing materials, supporting meetings and travel, and delivering reliable research and reports. You will collaborate across Department of Defense organizations and implementing agencies while handling sensitive information with discretion and close attention to detail.\n\nWhat You'll Do\n\nProvide administrative support by coordinating information, conducting research, analyzing data, and producing reports from systems such as the Defense Security Assistance Management System (DSAMS).\nPrepare briefing materials and provide logistical support for meetings, correspondence routing, and travel.\nManage incoming and outgoing correspondence, suspense tracking, tasking, reviews, and edits using automated systems and tools.\nReview CATMS on NIPR and SIPR and route tasks to the appropriate agency.\nMaintain current knowledge of OUSDP and component missions, programs, plans, goals, and objectives, including their relationships with other DoD and OSD organizations and operations.\nDevelop recommendations for correspondence templates and help keep the component directives program current.\nIdentify current and long-range requirements; evaluate issues, status, and trends; and generate clear reports for decision-makers.\nRecognize complex management and administrative challenges and recommend practical, creative solutions that improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness.\nAdvise teams on administrative and agency requirements for correspondence packages.\nCoordinate Director and Deputy Director signatures, retain signed copies, and return completed packages to the office of primary responsibility.\nMaintain accurate distribution lists and support DSCA mail operations, including mail runs to the Pentagon.\nHelp safeguard resources through effective internal controls and protect classified material in accordance with DoD and records-management policies and procedures.\n\nWhat's Required\n\nAn active Secret Clearance. A government background investigation will be conducted on selected applicants to determine whether they qualify for access to classified information.\nBachelor’s degree in international relations or a related field.\nOne to three years of recent experience supporting senior-level DoD staff at the flag-officer-equivalent level.\nExceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality control.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision in a highly visible, high-operational-tempo environment.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications.\n\nPreferred Experience\n\nSecurity cooperation or international cooperation, including experience with DSCA, Foreign Military Sales, or International and Partner Programs.\nExperience working with Title 10 and Title 22 authorities.\nFamiliarity with DSAMS, CATMS, NIPR, and SIPR environments.\n\nCompensation: The pay range for this job is determined by various factors, including but not necessarily limited to location, responsibilities of the job, and alignment with market data.
