Developmental Disabilities Support ProviderINDUSTRY, PA 15052 Position Type Contract - 14 weeks UP to $16.60/hour RequirementsA current and valid driver's license is required for community-based homes.Related experience is helpful.A verifiable high school diploma or GED is preferredJob DescriptionAn employee in this class is responsible for the specialized care of individuals with Developmental Disabilities. Work involves providing individualized care under professional direction, activities of daily living, including proper maintenance of living units, and guiding individuals in individualized program plans and leisure activities. Work is performed in accordance with appropriate procedures under the close supervision of a higher-level supervisor, who reviews results through daily observation of activities in progress, individuals' responsiveness, inspection of quarters, reports, and periodic conferences. Staff will be required to follow a designated shift routine as outlined by the supervisor.ResponsibilitiesAssist with day-to-day tasksTransport and accompany individuals to doctor appointments or community outings.Administer simple prescribed medications (if certified)Assist individuals with personal care.Log individuals provided servicesProvide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support
