Data Engineer

Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks to support clinical and operational analytics.Integrate and transform data from legacy databases into modern cloud-based data platforms.Work with Cerner EMR data to enable reporting, analytics, and interoperability across healthcare systems.Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes, ensuring high data quality, integrity, and performance.Collaborate with clinical, business, and IT stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.Perform data modeling, data cleansing, and performance tuning for large datasets.Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards, privacy regulations, and security policies.Troubleshoot data issues and support production data environments. Requirements / Qualifications:Proven experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in a healthcare environment.Strong hands-on experience with Databricks and cloud-based data engineering solutions.Experience working with legacy databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) and data migration/modernization.Hands-on experience with Cerner EMR data structures and integrations.Proficiency in SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT development.Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and performance optimization.Familiarity with healthcare data standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA).Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.EEO Statement:VLink is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to fostering an inclusive environment where diversity is celebrated.
