We take pride in fostering a safe environment for all employees in our climate-controlled plants.\n\nSummary: The Press Operator is responsible for the setup, efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Komori sheet-fed press, ensuring high-quality, high-volume, and on-time production while supervising and supporting the feeder.\nSchedule: 1st shift, Monday - Friday, eight or more hours per day, five days per week based on business needs. Primary schedule will be 05:00 AM – 01:30 PM, or similar. Training may occur at other times.\nCompensation commensurate with experience.\nAt time, we are not engaging with agencies or third-party recruiters. Thank you for understanding.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nSet up, configure, and operate the sheet feed press to produce high quality print products\nAccess the Batching System to view press schedule and identify priority jobs to be completed\nExamine job orders to determine the quantity to be printed, stock specifications, color(s) and special printing instructions\nLead and direct assistant operator, including on the job training and mentor junior colleagues\nEnsure Press Crew prepares Press Machine for the next job once current job is complete\nMonitor Press Cycle and performance, ensuring optimum press performance and job quantity reporting along, with defect and quality checks\nMaintain and troubleshoot machine making basic repairs as needed according to schedule\nActively remove waste items for recycling\nComplete and process all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.\nRegularly perform general housekeeping duties in your work area(s)\nAdhere to all safety policies and protocols and maintain a safe working environment\nAssist in cultivating an interdependent safety culture by reporting workplace hazards, related injuries, illnesses and or/near misses to management immediately\nAttend all department/company meetings\nWear all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required\nOther duties as assigned\nFor an extensive list of responsibilities, duties and physical demands/work environment please refer to the attached Job Description.\nEXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS\nEDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES:\nThree (3) – five (5) years’ experience as a Komori Sheet Fed Press Operator\nProven mechanical aptitude and experience performing Sheet Fed Press maintenance and minor repairs.\nCRITICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:\nProblem-Solving and Adaptability: Strong problem-solving skills when faced with unexpected challenges, such as machine malfunctions, material shortages, or errors in print quality. Ability to adapt to new printing technologies or changes in production schedules, ensuring smooth operations despite changes.\nTime Management & Efficiency: Ability to manage multiple print jobs simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without sacrificing quality. Organizing workflows, preparing materials in advance, and optimizing print runs for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.\nAttention to Detail: Precision in monitoring print jobs to ensure all details, such as color accuracy, image sharpness, and print placement, meet the required standards.
