If the selected candidate is located near one of our company offices, the candidate will have a hybrid work arrangement (2-3 days in-office).\r\nResponsibilities\r\nBe the technical leader of the QA team and work with a team of QA engineers to maintain the quality, performance, and reliability of the database engine.\r\nBuild and own an efficient tooling and automation testing pipeline.\r\nDrive projects and initiatives to improve the quality of the database.\r\nWork with development teams to design and implement testing and testing automation for new features.\r\nEstablish conventions, best practices, and processes for the team to continuously improve on quality gates.\r\nRequirements\r\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.\r\n5+ years of industry experience designing and building distributed systems testing.\r\nSkills and Knowledge\r\nExperience working on testing a DB as a service product.\r\nStrong ownership of product quality.\r\nStrong passion for making developers highly productive.\r\nStrong technical acuity and design sense for test authoring ergonomics.\r\nFluency in Bash and Python.\r\nProficient in using AI to automate tasks.\r\nStrong experience with Jira and Confluence automation.\r\nExperience with Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.\r\nExperience working with modern test framework tooling.\r\nAbility to work in a team environment, collaborate well, and mentor junior engineers.\r\nA strategic mindset and a strong sense of what to prioritize for maximum impact.\r\nExcellent interpersonal communication skills.\r\nOutstanding written and oral English language skills.\r\nProven experience with authoring roadmap documents, project plans, and RCAs.\r\nBonus Points\r\nExperience with Database testing.\r\nLarge-scale test-related issues (flakiness, performance, selection, quality).\r\nMulti-tenant systems, with a focus on reliability, performance, isolation, and security.\r\nA track record of leading distributed technical teams.\r\nLead a team of talented and high-performing engineers in the design, development, and support of a highly distributed and scalable graph engine.\r\nLead and participate in technical design and roadmap discussions relating to areas like Query Processing, Graph Storage, Performance, Scalability, and Reliability.\r\nHave a direct impact on the growth and development of the team through mentorship, coaching, and identifying other growth opportunities.\r\nDemonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work seamlessly across teams and organizations.
