Mechanical Engineer 1

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer 1 to support our Denver office.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform a variety of engineering assignments in planning and overseeing research, development, design, manufacture, test, installation, operations, and maintenance of electronic equipment and systems and generally as a member of a design, analysis, or review team.Essential Responsibilities:Perform design, development or review tasks in specific areas under close supervision. Design a portion or section of an analysis or design review. Assist in generation of specifications and engineering data. Assist in the preparation of reports and correspondence. Establish and maintain a filing system or databases as needed for tracking project status. Develop, maintain and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications. Interface with customers in design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications. Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures. Required QualificationsBachelors degree in Engineering, or related scientific field and 0-1 year of job-related experience or equivalent. Good communications and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs. Position may require travel. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. US Citizen only. Dual Citizens are not allowed.Preferred QualificationsAssociate Degree in Design and Drafting is a plus.CompensationHIRING SALARY RANGE: $83K - $92K (Annually) (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)BenefitsAmentum offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical dental and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, long-term and short-term disability insurance, 15 days of paid time off, and parental leave.Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen.
