We've been supporting this customer on many different sub-projects of this program since our founding in 2013. We've grown on this effort by providing the customer with Engineers who have done exceptional work, and we've retained our staff by paying very strong salaries, and working hard to ensure each Engineer is doing work that aligns with their career interest.\nTHE PROJECT\nThe Sponsor’s office is responsible for developing and managing enterprise business systems used every day to operate and manage the Sponsor’s mission. Sponsor capabilities serve the wide-ranging business needs of the mission, from human resources, financial, acquisition, medical, security, travel, supply chain, facilities, and support integration. Sponsor’s enterprise systems are critical to its mission. These business technologies are a heterogeneous mix of custom applications, Commercial off the Shelf (COTS), and middleware that evolved organically and separately over time.\nThe Sponsor’s organization values highly agile software development and the ability to quickly demonstrate value to mission. The CI/CD pipeline is the Sponsor’s current core DevSecOps environment and the Sponsor desires to expand its functionality and adoption.\nTHE ROLE\nImplement CI/CD designs for applications being supported in the CI/CD pipeline.\nMaintain and maintain DevSecOps solutions.\nSupport customer adoption plans of DevSecOps processes and tools.\nWrite software delivery pipelines.\nCreate reusable libraries that can be applied across the Sponsor’s organization.\nFacilitate implementation of Sponsor’s DevSecOps approach.\nSupport individual team adoption of the Sponsor’s DevSecOps approach.\nContinually evaluate the DevSecOps approach with current industry standards, with a focus on automation, security, and performance.\nDefine the DevSecOps process changes, governance, and standards.\nDocument the DevSecOps process changes, governance, and standards.\nAssist Sponsor to identify, evaluate and adopt technologies to improve business applications and support operations.\nRequired Skills\nDemonstrated experience implementing DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines to support a multi-tenant environment, incorporating automated software quality checks, security scanning, infrastructure-as-code, and other modern DevSecOps tools and practices.\nDemonstrated experience marrying Agile development methodology with modern DevSecOps methodologies at scale.\nDemonstrated experience implementing of end-to-end automation of a CI/CD pipeline from build through deploy.\nDemonstrated experience designing and implementing modern secure resilient applications.\nDemonstrated experience implementing Security best practices.\nDemonstrated experience in platform and application automated deployment.\nDemonstrated experience with configuration management.\nDemonstrated experience completing the ICD503 process.\nDemonstrated experience using AWS to include S3, EBS, and EC2.\nDemonstrated experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, Rancher (RKE2).\nDemonstrated experience using requirements tracking programs such as JIRA or Confluence.\nDemonstrated experience using SQL.\nDemonstrated experience scripting using Python or Javascript.\nDemonstrated experience programming using Java and Spring.\nDemonstrated experience with DevSecOps and DevSecOps related tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, and Puppet.\nDemonstrated experience developing DevSecOps metrics such as Lead time and Deployment Frequency.\nDemonstrated experience operating, configuring and maintaining Nexus and Jenkins to support enterprise delivery and operations, as well as availability requirements.\nDemonstrated experience integrating and deploying application performance monitoring such as AppDynamics.\nDemonstrated experience presenting and communicating technical designs and implementations to non-technical audiences.\nDemonstrated experience modernizing legacy software through as-is assessments and identification of technical debt.\nDesired Skills (Optional)\nDemonstrated experience implementing automated integration with Sponsor’s IT Operations change management platform and adhering to its business operation processes.\nDemonstrated experience using other, non-AWS cloud service providers.\nDemonstrated experience performing DevOps practices with COTS.\nDemonstrated experience implementing Secrets Management and Automation such as Hashicorp Vault.\nDemonstrated experience implementing SonaType IQ.\nDemonstrated experience using data produced by CI/CD processes for Machine Learning to gain insights about the pipeline (DevML, OpsML).\nAbout The DarkStar Group\nOur Company\nThe DarkStar Group is a small business that solves BIG problems.
