The DevOps Engineer will also be assisting our Systems team in architecting efficient and redundant systems.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesigning, implementing, operate, and maintaining a full suite of local and cloud-based services alongside with the systems team.\nArchitect a deployment standard to be used by the development team.\nManaging automated build and deployment processes with GitHub Actions.\nDevelop custom application and system monitoring and knowledge of monitoring systems (e.g. WhatsUp Gold).\nAssist in troubleshooting server, systems and application issues.\nWork with the QA Development team to design automated testing of applications within the deployment process.\nManage GitOps processes with Terraform.\nAutomate tasks and monitor their effectiveness.\nCreate, oversee and test deployment security measures (e.g. IAM, RBAC, access authentication and disaster recovery).\nKeep an open line of communication with the development staff to support their needs.\nMaintain complete technical application deployment and system configuration documentation.\nSuggest improvements to applications and systems to support monitoring.\nOther duties as required\nRequirements and Qualifications\nBA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.\n8+ years of DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role.\nProficient with CICD tools such as GitHub Actions.\nExperience with IaC tools such as Terraform and Ansible.\nWorking knowledge of databases and SQL.\nExperience administrating and managing containers in a Kubernetes environment.\nIn-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP).\nExperience with general programming languages such as .NET, JavaScript, and Python.\nExperience in enterprise-level monitoring tools for measuring application and system performance,and full environment reliability (e.g. Azure Container Insights, Azure Log Analytics).\nAbility to work independently as well as with a team.\nEquivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
