And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.\n\nKey job responsibilities\n\nAudit freight invoices: Review and audit freight invoices against contracted rates, shipment details, and agreed terms to identify billing errors, overcharges, and discrepancies\nIdentify billing discrepancies: Detect and document any inconsistencies or errors, such as incorrect rates, duplicate charges, or unauthorized accessorial fees.\nResolve billing issues: Work collaboratively with Logistics Service Providers (LSPs), internal procurement teams, and accounts payable to investigate and resolve discrepancies.\nWork with technology teams and payable teams to ensure compliance with payment terms, timely freight invoice payments and provide excellent carrier experience.\nOptimize freight costs: Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements by analyzing freight expenses and communicating with Logistics Service Providers (LSPs).\nMaintain data accuracy: Ensure data integrity within freight audit systems, transportation management systems (TMS), and other relevant databases.\nGenerate reports: Create reports on freight audit findings, cost savings, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide valuable insights for decision-making.\nStay informed: Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in freight auditing and logistics to enhance performance.\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field\nExperience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results, or experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field\n1+ years of logistics operations experience\n2+ years of Excel (pivots, lookups, etc.) experience\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience in program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or a related field\nExperience demonstrating problem solving and root cause analysis\nKnowledge of project management tools\nExperience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)\nHighly analytical, detail oriented and strong business sense; proven ability to manage new ideas and creative solutions\nManage and prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, growing and ambiguous environment\n\nAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.\n\nOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
