This individual will partner with the Controller in leading a team of accounting professionals and collaborate closely with operations and marketing.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\n\nThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:\n\nAssist the Controller in overseeing and managing the entire accounting function, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and tax compliance.\n\nEnsure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards.\nPreparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.\nDevelop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.\nAssist in the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.\nAssist the Controller with the audits, working closely with external auditors to ensure compliance and thoroughness.\nSupport tax preparation activities and collaborate with the CPA firm to develop tax strategies that optimize the company's financial position.\nAssist the Controller with compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and reporting requirements.\nAssist in M&A activities, including financial due diligence, integration, and post-acquisition reporting.\nAssist the Controller and Director of Treasury with cash flow and treasury activities.\n\nRequirements\n\nBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, MBA or advanced degree preferred.\n8+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management.
