Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.\nResponsibilities for this Position:\nDuties and Tasks:\n\nDesign of digital electronics including Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) development and circuit design\nResponsible for definition, design, verification and documentation\nDetermine architecture, system simulation, and detailed design approach\nDefine module interfaces and all aspects of device design and simulation\nEvaluate the process flow including but not limited to high level design, synthesis, place and route, timing and power utilization\nGenerate technical engineering products using appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools\nDevelopment and modification of firmware related processes and process documentation\nCreate test and simulation plans that establish functional criteria\nVerifies test results and analyzes performance\nVerification and validation on target hardware\nImprovement of FPGA organizational process\nSupport of legacy products and system qualification\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\n\nIdentifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation\nGrasps and applies new information quickly\nVery strong written and verbal communication skills\nProficiency in VHDL, FPGA circuit design, and CCA fabrication\nAbility to recognize and clearly report information relevant to sound FPGA design topics\nSolid ability to handle more complex assignments\nShows initiative on assignments, exercises independent judgment and professionally executes projects with little direction\nAbility to understand and explain designs using non-technical terms\nAbility to \"reverse engineer\" existing designs and understand/update functionality for new requirements\nAbility to work with Systems and Software Engineering to ensure system-level functionality\nUnderstanding of System-On-Chip (SoC) design with embedded processor on FPGA\nAbility to perform application programming on embedded processors\n\nOur Commitment to You:\n\nAn exciting career path with opportunities for continuous learning and development\nResearch oriented work, alongside award winning teams developing practical solutions for our nation’s security\nFlexible schedules with every other Friday off work, if desired (9/80 schedule)\nCompetitive benefits, including 401k matching, flex time off, paid parental leave, healthcare benefits, health & wellness programs, employee resource and social groups, and more\nSee more at gdmissionsystems.com/careers/why-work-for-us/benefits\n\nWorkplace Options:\nThis position is fully on-site.\nWhile on-site, you will be a part of the Manassas, VA facility.\n\nSalary Note: This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
