Direct Support Professional (Family Supports)

DescriptionWe are currently recruiting for several Part-Time Direct Support Professionals in sites located throughout Rensselaer County. Our Family Services and Supports departments provides respite services and skill building for individuals with disabilities that still live at home with their families.Responsibilities for this position include supporting these individuals with community involvement and various activities, daily living activities, forming friendships in the community, and assisting with skill building.These are excellent part time opportunities for individuals looking to get non-profit or human services experience.Schedule: Various, between 5 and 20 hours per weekWork Site Locations Available: Troy, Hoosick Falls, Poestenkill, Averill Park, Brainard, Schaghticoke, WatervlietRequirementsA HS Diploma or GEDValid Driver's License with at least one year of non-permit driving experience.Must have vehicle for use in this position.
