The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and committed to safety and teamwork.Authority And Reporting RelationshipsThe Survey Division Cleaner Operator is hired by, and reports to the Survey Division Field Supervisor.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate pipeline cleaning equipment, including VacAll combination units, high-pressure jetters, and vacuum trucks.Clear blockages, sediment, and debris from sanitary sewer and stormwater pipelines.Set up equipment, including hoses, nozzles, and safety devices, ensuring proper operation.Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and minor troubleshooting of cleaning equipment.Coordinate with crew members and supervisors to complete cleaning operations safely and efficiently.Maintain accurate work logs and reports detailing cleaning activities and pipeline conditions.Follow all OSHA and company safety policies, including confined space entry and traffic control.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at the jobsite and in company vehicles.Assist in other field operations as needed, including supporting CCTV inspections or CIPP installation activities.Qualifications1–5 years of experience operating pipeline cleaning equipment (VacAll, jetters, or combination units preferred).Knowledge of sanitary sewer and stormwater systems and cleaning practices.Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks.Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (CDL preferred).Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.Willingness to travel and work outdoors in all weather conditions.Work EnvironmentField-based role with daily work on municipal, industrial, and utility job sites.Year-round exposure to outdoor weather conditions.Work may include confined space entry, sewer manholes, and traffic control zones.Requires extended periods of sitting/standing in inspection vehicles as well as physical labor on job sites.May require early mornings, evenings, overtime, and occasional overnight travel.Strong emphasis on teamwork, safety, and accuracy of data collection.SOUTHEAST PIPE IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER AND A CERTIFIED DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE.WE HAIR-TEST.
