You will report directly to the Controller. This is a 100% in-office position based in our San Jose office, located in Santana Row.\nAs a Project Accountant, you will serve in the following areas: Assist in the accounting and processing of payables for subcontractor invoices\nAssist with project close process\nTrack lien waivers, retention payments, vendor/sub inquiries\nWork with Project Managers in the billing process through Timberline billing module\nAssist with determining gross margins, client billing requirements, and other job cost processes\nAssist with job cost process through Timberline job module\nAssist is collections and recording cash\nAssist with month end closing\nAssist with development and implementation of internal controls, policies and procedures\nThe successful candidate will possess: 2+years of recent accounting experience\nGraduation from an accredited four-year college with major coursework in Accounting, Finance or equivalent\nConstruction industry experience preferred\nStrong problem solving and oral and written communication skills\nExtremely organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously\nProfessional and able to work calmly under pressure\nResourceful and able to track down answers\nStrong computer skills, particularly Excel\nExperience with Sage/Timberline accounting software a plus\nPerks and Benefits Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)\nCompetitive Medical Insurance plan options including an HSA plan with Company deductible contributions.\nDental Insurance\nVision Insurance\n401K Plan Matching\nUnlimited PTO\nLife Insurance\nFlexible Spending Account (FSA)\nGym reimbursement program\nAbility to enroll in various voluntary benefits (Pet Insurance, Identity Theft Protection, Legal Assistance and more.)\n$83,000 - $90,000 a year\nThe actual salary will be carefully considered based on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
