The Board Member will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of the organization, overseeing governance practices, and participating in decision-making. Responsibilities include attending board meetings, providing leadership on committees, assisting in fundraising efforts, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements. The Board Member will work closely with executives, stakeholders, and other board members to align efforts with the foundation's mission.QualificationsLeadership and governance experience, including strategic decision-making, organizational oversight, and experience serving on boards or committeesFinancial acumen, budgeting, and fund management expertise, with the ability to oversee fiscal responsibilitiesExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience in relationship-building and stakeholder engagementKnowledge or experience in nonprofit management, philanthropy, or community developmentA commitment to the foundation’s mission, vision, and values, with a passion for driving positive change in the communityFundraising, development, or grant-writing experience is a strong assetDiversity, equity, and inclusion advocacy and policy development experience preferred
