The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in Chemistry, Hematology, and Blood Bank testing, with the ability to perform complex laboratory procedures accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting patient diagnosis and treatment through high-quality laboratory testing and analysis.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine and complex laboratory testing in:ChemistryHematologyBlood Bank/Transfusion ServicesUrinalysisImmunology and SerologyAnalyze patient specimens and accurately interpret test results.Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and perform quality control on laboratory equipment.Utilize Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics chemistry analyzers for testing and analysis.Perform blood bank procedures including:Type and ScreenCrossmatchingAntibody IdentificationBlood Product Preparation and IssueEnsure compliance with laboratory quality assurance and quality control standards.Document and report test results accurately and in a timely manner.Utilize Cerner Millennium and Oracle systems for laboratory documentation and reporting.Assist physicians and healthcare providers by providing accurate laboratory data for patient diagnosis and treatment planning.Follow all laboratory safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines.Participate in proficiency testing and laboratory performance improvement initiatives.Assist with specimen processing and collection when needed.Perform phlebotomy procedures when qualified and necessary.Provide laboratory services for both adult and pediatric patient populations.Required QualificationsExperienceMinimum of 3 years of recent Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician experience.Strong Blood Bank experience required.Pediatric patient experience required.Experience with Cerner Millennium required.Experience with Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics chemistry analyzers required.Oracle system experience preferred.Certifications & LicensureCurrent certification through one of the following:ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology)AMT (American Medical Technologists)Current AHA BLS Certification required.Preferred QualificationsPrevious Indian Health Services (IHS) or hospital laboratory experience.Phlebotomy skills and specimen collection experience.Experience working in a multi-disciplinary acute care laboratory setting.Skills & CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to prioritize workload and multitask effectively.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Knowledge of laboratory regulations, quality standards, and safety procedures.Dress CodeSolid-color scrubs required.Hunter Green scrubs preferred.Maroon and Royal Blue scrubs are not permitted.Why Apply?Competitive compensationStable contract assignmentOpportunity to work in a collaborative hospital laboratory environmentGain experience serving the Cherokee Nation healthcare systemQualified Medical Technologists and Medical Laboratory Technicians are encouraged to apply immediately.About Encode INCAt Encode, we empower organizations and individuals through innovative, human-centric workforce and technology solutions.
