We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain, and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.\nKey job responsibilities Perform quality assurance of civil infrastructure including vault installations, conduit alignment, pathway diversity, and compliance with AWS standards\nTrack and report on vendor & GC adherence to construction standards, escalating quality issues to program leadership\nMonitor civil infrastructure projects approaching critical delivery milestones, identifying and resolving issues early to protect delivery dates\nDevelop and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure vendor performance, defect rates, and program effectiveness\nShare performance metrics with Pre-construction and Construction teams; participate in monthly vendor performance reviews\nManage multiple competing cross‑functional projects simultaneously across assigned region\nCoordinate with general contractors, construction managers, engineers, technicians, and senior management on a regular basis\nAudit completed construction work, document defects, perform root cause analysis, and track remediation to closure\nRun meetings, create and maintain timelines, and keep large, diverse groups informed of progress and obstacles\nAnticipate bottlenecks, manage risk and escalations, and balance business needs versus technical constraints\nThis position requires 40‑65% travel and the ability to work across multiple time zones.\nBasic Qualifications 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience\nKnowledge of best practices and emerging technologies, related to infrastructure (i.e. network, data center, hardware, software)\nExperience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds\n5+ years of construction or project management, or 10+ years of relevant work in a data center or other critical environment experience\nExperience with large scale infrastructure\nExperience with supplier or vendor relationship management\nExperience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications, or experience in construction or project management\nExperience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment\nBachelor’s degree or above in Civil Engineering\nUnderstanding of civil conduit systems including vault installation, conduit routing, pathway diversity, and subducting\nDemonstrated ability to develop and track technical program KPIs\nPreferred Qualifications Professional Engineer License\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification\nFamiliarity with OSP and ISP Fiber construction standards\nExperience with quality control or quality assurance programs for civil construction, varying scenarios of infrastructure builds including Campus and ROW, data center civil infrastructure construction or inspection.\nProficiency in GIS platforms (ArcGIS Online/AGOL), Salesforce, and data visualization tools\nUnderstanding of conduit verification methods.\nKnowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure (i.e. network, data center, civil, conduit systems)\nAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
