This role is critical to maintaining project schedules and ensuring crews have the resources they need to work efficiently. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-service oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nSafely operate company vehicles to transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from project sites, vendors, and company facilities.\nLoad, unload, secure, and inspect materials to ensure safe transportation and delivery.\nCoordinate deliveries with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field crews.\nMaintain accurate delivery logs, receipts, and material documentation.\nAssist with inventory management and organization of warehouse and storage areas.\nConduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.\nPick up and return rental equipment as needed.\nSupport warehouse operations, material staging, and shop organization during non-delivery periods.\nFollow all company safety policies and applicable DOT regulations.\nQualifications\nValid driver's license with a clean driving record.\nAbility to operate pickup trucks, trailers, and medium-duty delivery vehicles.\nForklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain certification).\nExperience in construction, building materials, or logistics a plus.\nStrong organizational and communication skills.\nAbility to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple deliveries throughout the day.\nPhysical Requirements\nFrequent lifting, carrying, bending.\nAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.\nAbility to safely load and unload construction materials and equipment.\nWhy work with SUMMIT?\nIn addition to offering competitive pay and benefits, we are committed to furthering the careers of our employees.
