System Engineer","description":"Job Title: Controls System Engineer\nLocation: Houston or Dallas, TX & Ottawa, KS (Onsite)\nDuration: Full Time\nPurpose of Position:\nTo develop product system and subsystem models required to simulate vehicle characteristics that validate vehicle and safety performance.\nAdditionally, to support other related product development tasks and project deliverables.\nResponsibilities include:\nResponsible for system modelling and simulation of all products within the Product Business line .\nIn consultation and collaboration with the responsible Manager or Principal System Engineer.\nDevelop and maintain system and subsystem models.\nDefinition of test plans and analysis to increase model fidelity.\nPlan and perform activities according to specified requirements and time schedules.\nSupport the process definition for Model development and integration.\nVerification and validation of vehicle control system functions using SIL and HIL simulation.\nSupport with software development and troubleshooting as needed.\nExperience:\nExperience programming in C, C++ or other IDE's .\nExperience with System Modeling using Matlab/Simulink.\nExperience with CoDeSys Modeling environment preferred.\nExperience developing API's, ideally for vehicle control systems.\nCompetencies:\nStrong aptitude towards control system logic, 7-Layer OSI model, Software development V model\nStrong understanding of vehicle electrical system topologies\nWorking knowledge of CAN bus, Fieldbus, ISObus, and other control protocols\nTheoretical and applied knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulics and electrical systems related to mobile equipment preferred.\nExperience in Danfoss, Parker IQAN controllers Programming and validation.\nExperience in Control safety platform and Can be able to validate on vehicle (On board) testing.\nExperience in Software program development and troubleshooting support.\nStrong aptitude and desire to learn new software tools.\nGood communication, collaboration and team skills.\nFluent in English both spoken and written.\nEducation:\nDegree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering
