This role involves assessing and treating speech, language, and communication problems, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to enhance each child's abilities.\nKey Responsibilities:\nAssessment and Evaluation:\nConduct initial and regular follow-up evaluations of children, adhering to a 6-12 month review cycle or as dictated by clinical judgment and insurance requirements.\nPrepare and submit detailed treatment plans and care evaluations within specified deadlines to ensure continuous authorization and care delivery.\nTherapy Management:\nOversee the therapy schedule, ensuring each child receives the maximum possible sessions each week as per their individualized plan.\nCreate, update, and discuss treatment goals with parents and team members during monthly meetings, incorporating parent feedback into therapy planning.\nCollaboration and Supervision:\nWork closely with occupational therapists, BCBAs, and other therapy staff in monthly collaborative meetings to ensure holistic care.\nProvide guidance, therapy ideas, and training to Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs); supervise their work and provide clinical feedback.\nDocumentation and Communication:\nComplete accurate documentation of all services provided within 5 days of service delivery.\nMaintain effective communication with the Office Manager regarding client progress, caseload adjustments, and therapy needs.\nEngage parents actively, providing them with home program strategies to support skill reinforcement.\nGeneral Duties:\nEnsure a clean and safe therapy environment by routinely cleaning and disinfecting used areas and equipment.\nPerform additional related duties as required, maintaining professional standards and continuous improvement in service delivery.\nRequirements:\nMaster’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.\nCurrent state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.\nExperience working with children, particularly those with autism, is preferred.\nStrong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both children and adults.\nThis position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children and families, providing critical support and advancing therapeutic outcomes.
