You will maintain a digital and social media presence while also providing weather forecasts throughout our newscasts. We also look to our meteorologists for weather reporting, which includes work in the field producing packages, vosots and more.\n\nThe main day to day responsibilities of the role will include…\nForecasting, Producing and Presenting clear and concise weather casts, which tell a story and connect with viewers\nIssue warnings and alerts, produce graphics and maps, and report live during weather events\nUtilize social media as well as write weather stories\nMake public appearances on behalf of the station\nWork with producers to determine relevant weather content in breaking and everyday situations\nWork with digital team to create engaging content for the website, YouTube and social media\nProduce semi-regular weather packages\nWhat skills do you need to be successful in our role?\nIn Depth Knowledge of forecasting\nAbility to demonstrate experience with active and visual live shots\nAbility to multitask while meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks\nBachelor's degree in Meteorology, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.\nExperience as weather anchor/meteorologist at professional news station\nUnderstanding of journalistic ethics\nWhile applying online, please include a link to your online demo reel.\n\nEmployment practices will not be influenced or affected by virtue of an applicant's or employee's race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation), national origin, age, disability, genetic information, military or veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.\nAbout Sinclair:\nSinclair, Inc.
