As we enter the next phase of rapid growth, we are seeking people to help lead the journey.\nThe Full-Stack Engineer partners with a cross-functional team to build out new cloud application features and optimize and improve existing features. You will build and evolve AssetWatch's industrial IoT SaaS platform using Node JS, React, TypeScript, AWS serverless technologies, event-driven services, Infrastructure as Code, and AI-assisted development across frontend, backend, and APIs.\n\nHIGH-LEVEL POSITION EXPECTATIONS\n\nSenior engineers are expected to take on complex development tasks and may lead parts of projects. They contribute significantly to design and architecture and mentor junior engineers.\nTechnical Experience – Strong technical experience to design, develop, and maintain high-quality solutions.\nProblem Solving – Able to work independently on highly complex projects. Participate in tech planning including estimates. Work closely with P3 and P2 engineers providing technical guidance and support.\nProcess Improvement – Strong participation in process improvements including tools and standards.\nMentorship and Knowledge Sharing – Serve as a technical mentor for engineers to help enforce standards, support continuous learning, and knowledge management\n\nESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS\nDevelop new cloud application features including from React to AWS API Gateway and Lambda/ECS to database.\nOwn technical solutions and feature improvements from design through production.\nDesign and implement scalable, observable technical solutions, including technical design documents, implementation plans, migration plans, and architecture decision records that help evolve application architecture and engineering standards.\nSupport production systems through monitoring, alerting, incident response, root cause analysis, and reliability improvements.\nSupport code deployment and continuous integration.\nBuild high-quality software through automated testing and thoughtful peer code reviews.\nMentor other engineers on effective and responsible use of agentic AI tools.\nHelp improve SDLC through tooling, automation, and engineering best practices.\nCollaborate across teams to solve problems and maintain clear API, event, and data contracts.\nContinuously improve engineering best practices, coding standards, and shared technical patterns.\nUse agentic AI tools to accelerate planning, implementation, debugging, testing, and documentation while exercising sound judgment.\nReview and validate AI-assisted work to ensure quality, security, maintainability, and alignment with engineering standards.\n\nREQUIRED SKILLS\nWork autonomously with minimal supervision.\nComfortable with ambiguity, prioritization, and managing time effectively.\nExceptional organizational skills; be results-oriented with a bias for action.\nStrong collaborator who can build trust and contribute to the success of the team.\nMust embrace a culture of growth and accountability.\nEthical behavior, act fairly, and take responsibility for accomplishing work goals.\nCommunicate clearly and respectfully, conduct yourself in a manner that reflects our values and commitment to our customers, partners, and colleagues, and demonstrate leadership by seeking to understand customer needs, taking ownership of challenges, and driving thoughtful, customer-focused solutions.\n\nPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS\nDemonstrated experience delivering React web applications integrated with databases (MySQL, SQL Server).\nStrong professional experience building production applications in TypeScript and React.\nExperience working with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).\nExperience building cloud-native applications on AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, CloudWatch, Datadog).\nPractical understanding of secure software development, including authorization, secrets management, least-privilege access, dependency risk, secure cloud development, and responsible handling of AI-assisted code.\nHands-on experience using agentic, AI-assisted development tools with sound judgment about when and how to direct them, including awareness of risks such as sensitive data exposure, insecure generated code, hallucinated output, excessive agency, and overreliance; able to apply appropriate human review, testing, and validation before merge or deployment.\nExperience with browser compatibility, mobile-friendly standards, WCAG accessibility standards, and applicable EU accessibility compliance requirements.\nFamiliarity with issue tracking and source control such as Jira/GitHub.\nExperience improving application performance, reliability, scalability, and cloud cost efficiency.\nExperience with Python, UX, and additional AWS tools is a nice bonus.\n#li-remote\nWhat We Offer:\nAssetWatch is a remote-first company that puts people at the center of everything we do.
