Occupational Therapist

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at McLoud Nursing Center. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with patients to help them regain independence and improve their quality of life. Your expertise in occupational therapy techniques and knowledge of anatomy and physiology will be essential in providing effective care. Duties: - Conduct assessments to evaluate patients' physical, mental, and emotional capabilities - Develop personalized treatment plans based on patients' goals and needs - Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, and sensory integration - Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment and assistive devices - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients - Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary - Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely - Educate patients and their families on strategies for managing daily activities independently Skills: - Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles, techniques, and practices - Proficiency in speech therapy techniques to address communication challenges - Experience in occupational health, critical care, or acute care settings preferred - Ability to provide effective case management for a diverse patient population - Excellent patient service skills with a focus on delivering compassionate care - In-depth understanding of human anatomy and physiology - Familiarity with hospital protocols and procedures for patient care Join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals and make a difference in the lives of our patients.
